The patient-centered medical home (PCMH) is an enhanced model of primary care. Nurse practitioner (NP)-led PCMHs differ from traditional physician-led PCMHs, though it is unclear to what extent. There are possible differences in capabilities, priorities, and needs of the population served across practices, but studying this can be an important guide for policymakers to track the adoption of PCMHs.
